Vegan and miss cheese? Thinking of going vegan but worried you’ll miss your fix of cheddar, Wensleydale, and feta? Fear not, my fromage-loving friends. Sainsbury’s has just launched a new range of vegan cheeses!

Available from today, September 28th, the range of 7 vegan cheeses in Sainsbury’s Deliciously Freefrom range includes cheddar (grated, block and with carmelised onion), Wensleydale-style with cranberries, Greek feta-style, and soft cheese (original, garlic and herb).

Alexa Masterson, Sainsbury’s product developer for Deliciously Freefrom, said: “We’re really proud to launch the widest range of supermarket own brand cheese-alternatives to the UK, including a number of products that are first to market.

“These cheese-alternatives, alongside our broader Deliciously Freefrom offering, allow our shoppers to prepare meals and enjoy products that they may have previously missed out on.”

They are made from coconut by established dairy-free cheese manufacturer Bute Island Foods, and are also gluten free.

Have you tried any of the cheeses? Leave a comment and let us know what they’re like!
